Hello all. This week sees the release of the new Zincs album, Black Pompadour. It was recorded with a minimum of fuss by John McEntire at Soma and features the lovely singing voice of Edith Forst on three songs. You can hear some of the new tunes by going to the Media page or by visiting the label's website, www.thrilljockey.com. You can buy it through Thrill Jockey as well.

A CD release show is taking place on the 7th April at the Empty Bottle in Chicago with Calla and a national tour kicks off in May supporting The Sea and Cake. Dates will be posted on the Shows page just as soon as they're confirmed. And that's about it for now.

Hello there. The Zincs have spent the last couple of months sequestered in Soma Studios with John McEntire putting the finishing touches on their third album Black Pompadour for Thrill Jockey which is scheduled for release on March 20th 2007. Shows are being planned for the immediate future and will be posted up as soon as they are in. In the meantime, check out some of the new songs on the Media page.

Finally, the split single that has been a year in the making sees the light of day! The Zincs joined forces with Laetitia Sadier's band Monade and Duophonic U.H.F. Records to mangle a couple of Kevin Ayers songs under the name Zinade. Keep an eye out for it at www.duophonic.co.uk and anywhere where they still stock 7 inch singles.
